Greatest Game

Game 6 of the MLB World Series Championship was one for the history books.  Some are stating that this was the greatest game in the history of baseball.  How great of an ending was this?  Where does this rank among the greatest games of your baseball memory?

Maybe this was the greatest baseball game ever played. With all their storied history it's hard to believe that the greatest baseball game didn't feature the Yankees. Either way, this was one that will be remembered forever. Nelson Cruz's misplayed fly ball that fell for a hit and allowed the tying run to score is certainly an unforgettable blunder. The amazing comebacks, both coming with 1 strike remaining in the game, will go down as arguably the greatest ending to a game in the world series ever. I was very happy to see Lance Berkman drive in the tying run, I always hate intentional walks. I know that playing the percentages in baseball is necessary, and no manager would have the fortitude to pitch to Albert Pujols with 2 outs, a runner on 2nd, and 1st base open, but you have to wonder if Ron Washington is thinking this morning that perhaps he should have pitched to Pujols. The thing that strikes me about this decision is that the situation, if it were anyone else at the plate, would dictate that you don't give the batter a free pass. They had the righty-righty match-up, and walked Pujols to get to Lance Berkman. This gave the hitter the advantage in the match-up. On top of the Berkman has been equally hot, and very effective this year. I wonder if I would be able to make the same decision. It's hard to walk a player to bring up a threat like Berkman, but when you consider that it's Albert Pujols you're walking... While I was pulling for the Rangers to win their first World Series title I am always thrilled to see a game 7.
